So much so that I start to realize what is the difference between Happiness and True Happiness.
My philosophy is….
Happiness means having strong relationships with your family members and only people extremely close to you.
True Happiness on the other hand means attaining “happiness” and at the same time care and help your neighbors and strangers who are in need of help.
Let me explained briefly here…
Minding other’s business?
Hmm….. this is a phenomenon I had witnessed in many examples and incidents in my life that the TRUE HAPPY people in life is those who actually spend most of their time minding other people’s business most of the time, after they finished with their own business.
For instance my ex-boss only find true happiness and true good health in life only after he started full time helping those in need.
Similarly Bill Gates is minding too much of others people’s business in the charity work he and his wife is doing. Likewise Warren Buffett and Mark Zuckerberg. Elon Musk wanted to make this world greener….. Ghandi hunger strikes for the people of India…LKY fight for the survival of Singaporeans…George Soros started Open Society Foundation…Ray Dalio sharing economic machines for free in the youtube….
The list goes on….
Do we really think all these people only do things to glorify themselves or to only satisfy their personal ego?
It is good to be skeptical. But please before we judge anyone of the above-named that they are selfish egoistic people, please make sure, you did your research on them by reading their books, biography and countless of their videos interviews first for the fairness of them. Otherwise the opinions formed will be only based on your “personal opinions” and not back by anything. Just like fiat currency…..
Help yourself first!
Of course, prior to that, you need to first help yourself. The ignorant who they themselves have plenty of problems, caring too much for others without acquiring peace and knowledge him/herself will only create only more trouble and chaos to others. This I also mentioned in my previous article. Read: Spending too much time in helping others we hardly cared about
Consider most of the time, the actions you taken is based solely on the benefit of yourself or for your family members only. You are not a bad person, in fact you are very nice and polite and never do anything harmful to others. However you will also never go extra effort to help others except for some trivial matters that is easily completed in a wave of hand.
Treating others to a meal or drinks that does not cost too much money will be very painful to you also. You wanted to do good for your neighbors or strangers, but just that you would never find the time nor the discipline.
But for yourself or for your close family members, you will always go the extra mile. You think you have a happy life and a happy family.
Think again…..and look more profoundly into your life today….
Ok…a little bit of “superstitious or supernatural” Please bears with me, but frankly there is more than meets the eye. It is difficult for me to explain in writing, but I had converse the same message several times to friends or closed ones and they resonated with me.
Maybe think of it as..
I have never come across a person who does so much good in his/her life for others and even strangers, that one day he or she died very unhappily or die with pain-inflicted illness. Perhaps it will only happen when he or her is cursed due to past bad deeds done by the earlier generations.
On the contrary, I have seen many very nice people die young with illness so “unfairly” as you may say. Aside from the concept of not relishing “true happiness” by doing more for others, it can also due to their character. Read below. In fact many sickness are attributes to our character.
Sickness or Longevity having close association to a person’s character and the exercise he or she does! (Part 2)
Do you know what really is the root cause of one of the number one killing disease, cancer?
If you really think the medical science is so advanced nowadays that give you your full 100% faith, then how come there are so many more terminal diseases today compared to the past!
As someone who had encountered my own experience in the hospital bed suffering the same illness for more than a decade, until I am recovered now, I ask…
Can doctors sometimes really cure you more than you yourself?
